Join Artist Michelle Shearer in her studio for this two day workshop - as she guides you throught the process of creating an internal armature and hand building your own beautiful and enduring concrete ‘Garden Goddess’ sculpture.

​Day 1
Michelle has designed a template to cut and construct an armature for this almost 70 cm tall sculpture.  Before lunch we will build our armatres and in then in the afternoon give them their first rough coat of concrete.

​Day 2
​​We give the works a second and final coat of concrete – this is when we add volume and individual details to the works.

​(In general, the finished sculptures will need to sit for a few days to harden – but will be strong enough to be moved and can be picked-up the following week)

Materials and Equipment required to complete the project will be provided.  Participants are asked to provide their own pair of rubber gloves (dishwashing style gloves). The Workshop is planned to take place outside – so wear weather appropriate ‘old’ clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty
